Being creative...

and making food at the same time is a favorite pasttime of mine.

A couple of days ago I made the dough for some cookies and today I shaped, baked and decorated them.

Now, I have to say that they were not half as pretty as the ones I was inspired by http://cupcakesandcashmere.com/sugar-cookies-royal-icing-tutorial/ but they were pretty ok for a first try ever.

Will be looking for squirt bottles and other pastry making appliances during the upcoming sales.
