dress I should have been wearing tonight.

I bought it over a month ago. They didn't have my size, but I bought one a size smaller, hoping I'd be able to fit it - mission incomplete, not failed, cause 2011 will be the year you'll see this dress on me!!

I'm pretty busy...

with either work or friends/family gatherings at the moment, but on monday I peeked in a few shops before work to see if the phenomenon called SALE would tempt me... it really didn't!

I found a scarf, which was a new thing, so it wasn't on sale, but it was so voluminous and only 100DKK... couldn't let that one go.

I think that the reason I weren't tempted by the sale is that they haven't reduced their dresses yet. Who can blame them? No one in their right mind would do that when people might still be shopping for a New Years Eve outfit... so I'm waiting patiently!

strange to see Spring clothes online already, but none the less H&M have done it.

These two dresses were awfully cute and would look soo nice with a nice tan.

my love for books as the majority of the presents I received were books.

It's not a pasttime of mine I've expressed too much in here, but most people who know me wouldn't be too surprised. What they would have found a lil surprising was the lack of clothes being unwrapped, but this year was all about the books.

The bag is from Urban Outfitters and it was sooo difficult to choose which one to get, cause they have sooo many pretty ones right now. The item from Bodyshop is their new line Rainforest, which is without silicones, colourants and parabens. and making food at the same time is a favorite pasttime of mine.

A couple of days ago I made the dough for some cookies and today I shaped, baked and decorated them.

When it comes to...

musical movies I'm no expert. I believe I've only seen Nine and the masterpiece (yeah, I said it) Moulin Rouge. I'm not an expert in the art of burlesque dancing either, but I'm pretty sure a certain miss Dita von Teese would be bored by the movie Burlesque. I wouldn't say I was bored, cause it did have it's moments, but the writing on this movie was pure clichés.



The cast was a good bunch. Cher has won a few awards for her past movies and is an ok actress, Cam G is uhhhhhh, nice!, Stanley Tucci can be my best friend anytime - this role is exactly the same as the one he had in The Devil Wears Prada.

Miss Aguilera did an ok job. I was relieved to see that she was not gonna pull a Mariah Carey in Glitter, but that she did have some acting skills... as long as she doesn't quit her dayjob.

start by saying that this is not what I initially wanted to wear tonight.

You see, I'm going to a premiere on Burlesque with a friend, and seeing that Burlesque is quite the feminine kinda movie I wanted to wear a dress or atleast a skirt, but it is too freaking cold for that!

Yesterday...

I went on a one-day trip to Copenhagen with my sister and mom.

We initially went to see Tivoli all lit up in Christmas Lights, but ofcourse we went shopping too. For all my foreign readers, Tivoli is an amusement park... I'm using the word Park very lightly here, cause it is in no way to be compared to American amusement parks!

It was soo cold, and the hobo-esque heating methods came in very useful and appreciated!

Traditional Danish Christmas food...

is indeed very brown, and doesn't look too appealing to somebody unaware of the great taste.

Yesterday we had the kind of dish that makes the whole apartment smell like Christmas (the smell was still there this morning), and it was soo good.

Most people would make caramelized potatoes, but I'm not a fan of those so I just cook the potatoes with the skin on (ofcourse they're thoroughly cleaned first) and that's my version.

The dish is roast pork, red cabbage, potatoes and brown sauce.

the Boyfriend and I had dinner at his mom's house with two of his brothers. We ended up going to the cinema to watch Unstoppable, which was your usual 'need for speed'-type of movie - yeah, I know same plot same ending. There was one thing I liked about this one actually, which was that the fatal tragedy the 'heroes' were suppose to prevent wasn't caused by terrorists or bad people with bad intentions, but merely a lazy-ass dude not doing his job right!

The Boyfriend had to...

go downtown to buy some pants and stuff and I went with him. I was unleashed in H&M for 5 minutes and came out with this totebag, which apparently is from the Lanvin-thing, which I didn't realize 'til I came home.

I also bought these lip gloss, because one said Red and the other said Gold on their label, which I assumed would be their actual color or that they would atleast have a hint of red or gold in them. I was dissapointed when I found out that the labels indicated the color of the casing... like you couldn't see which color it was?? Very misguiding!

Then I tried them on and they have an overly sweet smell to them. I know the Boyfriend will refuse to kiss me while wearing them!!

I guess they'll be used as part of a christmas decoration...

Ok, I've now had the lip gloss on for a while and my lips are actually starting to itch...!!!

After a long walk...

in the freezing cold, we headed home for a hot cup of chocolate with whipped cream.

I got this cute christmas cup from my sister last year, and I know it'll be overly used this December. Love the candy cane handle!

Today was also the first day of advent.

We've always received a present from our parents on the four sundays prior to Christmas, and eventhough we're far from kids anymore, we still get them - which is to be enjoyed, cause as soon as they get grandchildren we'll soon be forgotten.

Todays present was the traditional 'scratch-a-square-a-day-and-you-might-win-money'-calender. A very loved thing in our family, although we've never won much. The other thing is the substitute for the ever-so-boring chocolate calender we always got as kids. Such an upgrade: marzipan balls covered with chocolate and a sugar shell. Loves!!

I'm a lil sleepy...

from our walk on the beach today.

They're building some kind of promenade in the richer part of the city, and we took a walk out there today to see how far it had got.

With the snow covering most, it wasn't easy to see the progress, but since it's not slated to be done till 2011, I guess there's no need to rush.

So we went up in the newly made park, where I've only driven by, but never walked, before.

It looked very nice, and I'll definitely be stopping by when spring emerges.

Made a batch of these as I'll be home alone all weekend and working mostly.

On such weekends I prefer to have these in the fridge, ready for a quick warm up and then washed down with mustard. Yeah, you read it right - I looove mustard. Right now I'm going thru a Whiskey mustard a friend gave me a while ago, and it is soo good!

(for the too-literate-for-my-own-good reader I have to mention that I don't actually drink the mustard, I just use the phrase 'wash it down' to imply that I eat a whole lot of mustard with the piggies.)

We finally got snow. After hearing everybody else in our tiny country complain, for quite a few days, about the white blanket of snow covering everything, we've experienced a bit of it today.

Now I surely hope that it will continue all day, then I will gladly go out and shovel the sidewalks and courtyard throughout the day.

about H&M just updating their New In with party clothes and went to check it out.

This red shirt is real pretty, and is a missed color in my closet.

One of the dresses was this one, which looks chic, except from the middle sewline, but it could be covered up with the following belt.

These bracelets would complement the dress too.

I'm not often into the whole 'having a lil indoor jacket over a dress', but this one would probably look great over the...

classic long dress, which was also found in black, but I thought this color to be more interesting.

Overall some good pieces, but I'm saving money for my CPH trip in December, where I might also be able to try these pieces on.
